Sterling Schmidt portrays Walt Putney...
Walter Punteney (Wat the Watcher) was the reconnaissance man for the Wild Bunch. He was an excellent horseman, good shot, and apparently ordinary enough to blend into any frontier town he visited. Sterling Schmidt is an ALHFAM member, and Living History interpreter in Nevada City. Often accompanies Sundance in performances.
