Brenda Thyer portrays mystery woman Ethel "Etta" Place
Brenda Thyer, ALHFAM member, FPIPN (First Person Interpreters Professional Network), trained in Colonial Williamsburg conference 2008, has over twenty years experience as a living historian. Brenda Portrays Etta Place who's real name is a mystery; Place was the maiden surname of Longabaugh's mother (Annie Place) and she is recorded in various sources as Mrs. Harry Longabaugh or Mrs. Harry A. Place. The one instance where she is known to have signed her name, she recorded it as "Mrs. Ethel Place."
There has been some speculation that she was once married to a school teacher, and at least one claim that she abandoned her husband and two children to be with Longabaugh.
